Construction of a small raised pond.

These pictures above show the step by step construction of a circular raised pond in West Sussex. ( Pond underlay > Pond liner (pvc) > Double wall construction > Finished Pond ) In the finished pond the liner is hidden between the walls. I obtained the central water feature from a reclamation yard near Arundel.

A selection of formal raised ponds.

The ponds above show raised ponds of different designs. Each one is designed to suit the surroundings. All of the ponds show a variety of ways to move the water, often involving a hidden filter system to keep the water clear.

Formal raised pond.

The pond above started as a small pond. We enlarged it as a raised pond and built the patio by the house. Note the mature rocks at the back used to hide the liner edge.

Formal raised pond.

The concrete pond is being painted with waterproof paint (other colours are clear/stone/blue). The right hand picture shows the filter system partly installed together with the gap for the construction of the waterfall.
