This is a stage by stage construction of a large duck pond on the Sussex Downs. Pond underlay was laid followed by heavy duty rubber liner. The edge is being re-turfed using black mesh to stabilise the bank. Ducks would have eroded the turf exposing liner.

The finished duck pond with edge neatly hidden. A large drain was installed in a filled trench from the house to provide free rainwater for the pond (an overflow at the other end). Finally a bespoke duck house built by one of my specialist contractors. Eggs were laid within a few days there! Very tasty..
